(Unity/Topic Sentence) Hello everyone! Yours truly, Hugo the Hydro Flask is here to tell you about an adventurous, hard-working, and an affectionate human being, Alennie Cruz. (Development/Body) Yours truly can personally testify to how adventurous Alennie is based on the places yours truly has been with her. Alennie loves to challenge herself by trying new things like different types of foods or by overcoming her fears.  Alennie also is a hard working person. Yours truly feels as if Alennie is usually out of the house every day because currently she has a part time job while being a full time student (taking 20 units) as a sophomore this quarter. Yours truly feels the busyness in Alennie’s schedule but understands that she wants to be the best in everything she does. Even though she knows she will be busy this quarter, she takes it as a challenge and is all up for it. Yours truly also knows Alennie as an affectionate human being. Alennie has a soft spot for children and is considering in switching her major to Education so she can be a teacher and guide children in attaining higher education. (Coherence/Conclusion) From yours truly’s experiences with her, yours truly can personally say and attest to that Alennie is adventurous, hardworking, and an affectionate person.

(Continuity/Smooth Transition) Why thank you very much for your heart warming words, Hugo! It is true indeed that I am an adventurous, hardworking, and an affectionate person. I do believe that I gained some characteristics of mine by being part of the Nogales Badminton Team in High School. In this competitive sport, I was able to play under pressure of wanting to win games and proving to my team that I deserved to be there. Being able to experience being the team captain helped me refine my leadership skills by making choices on some strategies the team players can do to win a game and even encouraging them to do their best always. In this whole experience, I believe that I learned that I must work hard in order to receive the results I want. I could still recall when my coach pulled me aside and said to me, “Never give up in during your matches even when you think are losing, while there is an opportunity to win, you can still win.” I know that what my coach told me is also something that I can apply all throughout my life. We must never give up on anything and not look down on ourselves even when times get tough. One thing in the future that I look forward to is to continue to take challenges in my life and become a better person through the difficulties that may come my way. In this class, I will strive to become a better writer. As Derek Bok, an educator at Harvard University said, “If you think education is expensive, try ignorance”. Education is a lifelong investment that is worth enduring, if things become tough, I must remember that it will all be worth it in the end.
